Irene Taranina is the COO of Mine Marketing, the company that publishes NutriVerdict. She has spent more than a decade in marketing operations, brand and content strategy, leading teams across digital marketing, SEO and customer research, and now oversees NutriVerdict's editorial standards and day-to-day operation. She is based in Israel.

Irene Taranina is the editor of NutriVerdict and is responsible for the site's data accuracy and editorial standards.

Every food write-up is checked against its underlying USDA FoodData Central figures before it publishes, and the Nutrient Density Score follows the peer-reviewed NRF9.3 method (Drewnowski), set out in full on the How we score page. Where NutriVerdict uses AI tools to help draft plain-language summaries from the verified USDA numbers, each one is reviewed against the source data before publishing. We never invent a number, a score or a nutrient claim.
